How COVID-19 Screenings & Testing Works

Only people experiencing COVID-19 symptoms which include fever, cough and shortness of breath are encouraged to contact their health care provider for a screening evaluation. A provider will determine whether
the individual needs a COVID-19 test and give the patient a unique testing code and appointment time.

Testing is conducted by appointment only. Patients must present the unique testing code given by a Family Health Centers representative prior to testing day. Upon arrival, the individuals must always remain
in their vehicle to ensure appropriate social distancing. Instructions will be provided once on site. Please bring a picture form of ID and insurance card, if applicable.

Individuals also can request a screening through FHC’s website, and someone will contact you within 3 hours to complete the initial screening questions. If you do not have internet access, call us at 803.531.6900.

After the test, patients should self-quarantine until results are provided. Results typically are available within 5 to 7 business working days. Providers will follow up with phone calls to patients with test results.
